whatever you guys do with recruitment, please keep me informed since I have to do the paperwork on it.
(On the note of recruitment officer, while I am the NNG main recruitment officer, all my job is to make sure new users are welcomed and the right ones stay. I have my hands full trying to get people to join JCST so I will not be able to help with the Nui recruitment. Whomever steps up I would love to work with.)

When it comes to vocations, JCST is working towards getting our stuff up to where we need it. It's just the 3 of us so far so we don't have much. We have a budding leather crafter with Blonde, but for other things we were hoping we could come to you guys for. I know the mat costs vary wildly, but maybe getting a menu from people on what they can do and the cost per customer would be a little easier for those who wish to get stuff done. I wouldn't know who to ask if I wanted something and I would pay well.

I hear 903 has a quota system, while that would be on the extreme end, it would give people reason to make stuff and work towards mastery.

Until we get more dedicated souls in JCST, unfortunately we are unable to be much more than a potential customer.

    [The edits are real]

I decided I should add a couple relevant things after reading the entire thread.

JCST is willing to share coords of groups we do not like, unfortunately helping scout beyond stumbling across groups while doing whatever it is we do, is not going to be cost effective or a good use of our energies. If we come across a group that we know we don't like, we'll get you the coords. But at this time I do not think we'll be able to play scout for you guys without compensation for our time or clear profitability. We don't have a galleon or merchant ship yet and are just a couple of scrubs in clippers that occasionally steal a fishing boat.

I don't want JCST to be well known as a spy guild or make enemies if we can help it. But there are some groups that we just don't want to live. Like Trigger Happy. Bacon and Blonde have a tendency for shenanigans and are known to go out and steal green fishing ships and carts and piss people off, but I would rather see our efforts spent thwarting goons, forestcrow, KBZA, Valor, BWTC, Bloodline, and last but not fucking least, Retard Mafia.

Phaedo and myself have spoken about this briefly but I felt it would be nice to open it up.

    Recruitment, Recruitment, Recruitment.

That's what the focus needs to be. We are a small guild, small guilds can be effective with a shit ton of work, with a active recruitment plan and people coming in we'll be able to do more stuff. Right now we can't do a whole lot, even with 2 merchant ships and a bunch of other ships we can't do a whole lot. We need numbers, and we need them kinda badly. It's been mentioned several times before but we still haven't got any real answer or idea of what is gonna happen.

I just want to see use get back on track from what we had from before with gearing up and getting merchant ships and kicking ass. Let's start figuring out what we want to do with recruitment and hammer out exactly how it will work.

I have been asking this question since day one and the best answer that I got was

Why am I the one asking? Because this guild will die if we don't recruit.

    @Phaedo

You're doing a great job man and this guild is your baby. I know that you would do even more if you could but there are only 24 hours in a day. Our officers have been very helpful with everything we need, we've got a great group of people, we get along fine, we help each other, we understand the value of each other's time and we try to keep everyone happy.
I know that if I was to ask Thane or DaPoets to do 20 trade runs for me in one day, they'd do it. They'd do it not because they have to, but because of what NNG is all about and how well we work together.
The comradeship in NNG is way above of what most guilds can offer. We have to build up on it. Bring likeminded players into our community, make them part of the family if they fit in.

Agreed - we have a special community and I KNOW there are like-minded quality people out there.

I recently brought over a friend of mine from PS2/BWC, Romas. He's a jovial canadian fellow that would swing by here to hang out in the PS2 channels a while back. He is enjoying AA and likes the NNG ethos.

But I am more than happy to start putting up some posts on public forums about our division, as well as getting the word out about NNG. I think we just need some good ideas about how to find the right type of people without taking a CML approach to recruiting (not that it's wrong)

I've tried listing JCST on the official reddit and occasionally putting an ad in nation chat, but so far nothing. I think the best way is to get friends, or headhunt people in game that don't have a guild tag on and ask if they'd like to join

When it comes to recruitment, the best candidates are the ones YOU know and work well with that are not yet NNG. We all know people out there in AA as well as other games that YOU / WE just see eye to eye on and have built a great relationship with. I'm a member of Western New York Gamers, a group of guys that come together once a month for about 12 hours to shoot each other in the head. BF4, counter strike, racing games etc, with beer and wings. I have mentioned Archeage to them in our forums and I'll show the game off to them at this Saturday's event (If I end up going) They would obviously be prime NNG candidates as I have known them for years.

Recruitment is on all of us.

I have spoken to Phaedo and a couple others about our oncoming recruitment structure and when things are finalized (people saying yes, meetings held, etc...) we will make the announcements of who's in these new roles. Ideally I wanted to have it all in place last night but a few things came up and a couple people were afk, so hopefully it will all be finalized by tonight so that they have the weekend to get their feet wet in their new positions.

I'm hoping for 2 - 3 people to run recruitment on the Western Front. This will give us continuous exposure as people are online at different times, a group that can work together to get people in the door and acclimated to NNG, and will obviously spread the responsibility out a bit.

    ALSO
I / We have ideas of who we want in this role however if YOU feel you would be great at this please let us know and even if you haven't done this before we have plenty of people that have and will gladly coach you.

I don't want to be seen as "being silent" in this thread as it is very important, and I want everyone to know we hear them and we're working diligently on getting some people finalized and shit running. Everything Dapoets said is exactly what is going on/will be happening, so direct there. I've been swamped as fuuuuck with school this past week and it is only going to be getting worse. I make time when I can but it's challenging. I probably could have played a little more ArcheAge and a little less Shadow of Mordor, but I was so exhausted and angry from school I just wanted to see the bodies roll, and I felt some days my attitude could be the exact opposite of what I would like it to be. And I'll be honest, some days I just can't even. My life revolves around two things at this current point in time. You guys, and deadlines. Lots of late hours and effort make me so worn out that to come home and jump right into the intricacies and complexities of some aspects of this game just destroy me. I love it so much but there are/will be days, very few in number, but existent, that I just need to do something else for a couple hours.

I just want to make you all aware that we are working on some recruitment positions and roles, and I didn't want people to think I was just liking status' that hold the message I want to say, and not actually justifying/participating in said messages. I know I've been slightly absent this past week, and I will try my best to correct what I can.

No need to apologize when real life takes the wheel, school should always be a priority, everyone is holding down the fort in the meantime.

True, but I do feel that everyone should at least.. know, or be aware of the situation.

    Gettin' dat #Transparency machine rollin'!!!!!

And don't worry. As much as it pains you to read the butchered English in the above sentence, it pained me equally to write it.
