    Set up:

    Volair Sim Playseat
    X55 Rhino Joystick
    TrackIR Pro
    Saitek Pro Flight Rudder Pedals
    27" Samsung monitor
    Logitech Keyboard
    Naga mouse
Black box on the left is a computer with some shiny lights in it.

This is still work in progress because I will be upgrading the monitor and PC, but at the moment my PC runs everything just fine so I have no reasons to complain.
Needless to say, flying feels fucking amazing, especially helicopters.

    Damn.

Can you move everything out of the way so you could use other things, like your joystick and stuff?

The joystick is there, right where it belongs ;) but it comes off. Seat moves back and forth and so does the keyboard tray. I chose to put the keyboard on the main desk because I still use it for commands which have no need to binded to the stick or HOTAS. Things like retracting landing gear, you use it once. Still debating if I should get 2 more more monitors or get one 43" TV.

honestly nraged the price of 2 new monitors or a new TV could probably be around the same price as VR headgear, and with the added immersion bonus, it might be worth while to look into!

    Killer set up though

    Thanks!

As for Occulus Rift, honestly, I don't see myself wearing it on my head, plus my wife will tickle me every chance she gets, worst of all, IL2 Battle of Stalingrad does't support it, and with it's recent release of summer maps, I can't be missing out on such a eyecandy.

Do you play this while flying helicopters? You should. Makes all helicopter rides better

    :P

There are more vr headsets than oculus. I would recommend them over oculus because it still has some issues with neck strain from use. While other headsets are designed better for wearing.
