when I'm a Heavy and I get face to face with an enemy I can hit 75+% and I'll still lose. I'm 4 deep in Nano weave armor and I'm using the SVA-88, scoped & grip...

question is... should I go resist shield? Also maybe grab the HV ammo? any pro tips out there?

Also, do you guys hip fire more then scope?

Oh and one more thing... I heard Jaamaw yelling for MLG's... wth does MLG stand for? Sorry for the stupid question.

    I appreciate it :)

resist shield yes, hv ammo yes. Hip fire when enemy is close and ads would cost you precious time to kill your opponent, otherwise ads. MLG refers to http://www.majorleaguegaming.com/ and what he's yelling for is for people to "go pro or go home", so to speak.

Yes Resist shield/Nano5 is amazing, make sure you pop your shield early to help absorb the incoming fire early on, also if possible aim high, towards the head more, a couple of headshots mixed in there will do wonders for killing an enemy face to face.

As for Jaamaw yelling "FOR MLG" don't mind him, he's ultra competitive and thinks his entire gaming experience is tied into being the Ultimate Major League Gamer. He'll grow out of it one day :)

I suggest taking off the grip and replacing it with a laser dot. The grip increases equip time as well as the time it takes to ADS. Hipfire is always best because you can start firing right away. HV ammo is awesome and will deff help. Full nano + Resist shield = 1875 health for your HA at full shield and full health so you are basically a tank as long as you have full health.

    I am the MLG.

Resist shield with nanoweave gives the most overall "effective HP" if you can activate it before your opponent gets a shot off. If you have trouble doing that, use the Nanite Mesh Generator, as no matter how much HP you're currently at, it will always block 700 damage.

There is currently no downsides to using HV or SP ammo over regular, the only difference is at what range you get faster kills. If it's an option on a weapon, get it.

The game has been out for awhile now, so most people have NW5 on their most played infantry, unfortunately you're going to be at a disadvantage for a while before you get it.

Pro tip: never use resist shield with flak armor.

There's a guy on youtube called Wrel who has done a TON of PS2 explanations, comparisons, weapons overviews. Check him out, the videos are really good and he's spot on. ESPECIALLY watch his video explaining TTK and Lag. http://www.youtube.com/user/WarpathWrel

Depends on range, if you're in a tower fight and you turn a corner and there's a dude right there don't bother ADSing. I only use 1x reflex on SVA-88 and Orion anyways, they're close/med range weapons. For the most part though ADSing will give you better accuracy. There's a couple weapons where this ISN'T the case though. VX6-7 gets more accuracy hip firing than aiming (?!).

MLG = Major League Gaming = Pro :)
