Hi fellow aviation warriors, I wanted to drop by and introduce myself. I have applied for the squad and hope to fly with some of you soon. I am kind of new to the game but I'm having a blast so far. I have only played arcade up to this point to get my feet wet, but am planning on moving to HB and SB in the near future, as soon as I get my Stick/Throttle and Track IR set up. I have played mostly in the American and German trees which should translate well to the squadron. I'm kind of tired of running it to squads on the other teams while lone wolfing. And I don't even try HB's alone from what I've read. I have Team Speak and a good mic, and I should be on throughout the day, and later tonight. I'm EST. I play SB alone pretty often, and it usually works fine. But I think SB is actually easier to solo then RB because you can hide in the forest (you don't have a big red label hovering over you). If you stay low you're pretty invisible to anyone flying higher.
Teamspeak is a good place to start. In game you can chat with the squadron as well, but as most people are flying, the chat is very silent usually.
We run a lot of Rank 1 and 2 RB's almost on a nightly basis. Don't hesitate to slide down there and join a squad. We're laid back, but we use tactics because we like to win. If you're interested in flying for fun with a group watching your six, we'd love to have you.
During your trial period, your activity is very important and being in Teamspeak increases your chances, other wise when we vote on your application, nobody will know who you are
