I have been thinking about getting a desktop for a while but didn't have money but now I have enough saved to get one.

Just want to run this by people here on the forums to see if anything should be avoided or if I could save money somewhere.
This build is at the absolute max of my budget , including delivery. I have had to upgrade my budget a few times over the past few months looking at PCs. But I feel like this is the best bang for my buck and I don't really feel like I need much else.

I am based in Ireland and was looking to order parts from germany where they are cheaper and will link to the items where I can. If the build is good, I would like to order within a week or two.

In total in comes to about €800 including delivery which is bang on my budget. And a few things I should mention about why I chose components in this build over other options.
I had looked at the i5-4670k but decided the extra money would be better spent on other components. I also looked at an AMD cpu setup to save money but the performance didn't seem too good on the FX8350 compared to the i5.
I have no plans for overclocking but don't want to rule it out so have chosen a k-series cpu and z77 mobo. So I should only need a better cooling system if I want to OC in the future.
Can't really afford more than 8gb ram. But might add a second matching 8gb set in the future to the two extra dual channel slots on mobo.
Want an ssd for OS and favourite games and want a large storage, hence the 2TB which isn't much more than a 1TB.
The gtx 760 seems to be the best card in my price range, a more powerful gpu would cost at least another €60. I had looked at the MSI/sapphire R9 270x to save money but decided against unless I could do with putting the money I save somewhere else more useful.
Need a psu that has the proper connections for gpu and I got one that wasn't too expensive and would have more than enough power.

Games wise I play most games but would like to play planetside 2 well and be able to test out the star citizen modules. My laptop is ok and can run almost any game but can't run the most demanding games.

So if there's anything I missed, let me know or if anything can be downgraded to upgrade something else for the improvement of the pc build.

This is pretty solid. Nice build!

Just bear in mind that you'll probably have to upgrade to a newer GPU for Star Citizen if you're going to play that. (I'll have to update my 660 Ti. :<)

His stuff will be fine for SC. They already said cards like the 760 will be able to run it around the mid range graphically. Plus, the game doesn't come out for a good time so he has enough time to upgrade.

Those BenQ's are nice, but did you compare them to some of the Asus gaming monitors? After much debate and research I went with an Asus VG278HE as opposed to an equivalent 27" BenQ monitor.

I'll be 1080p gaming so 24" monitor is what I wanted.

I didn't mean 24" vs 27", I meant BenQ vs Asus. I was just giving you a for instance that when I shopped for monitors I came down to the choice between those two brands and ultimately went with an Asus. I personally feel like the BenQ's are a tad overpriced.

Well its more of a personal choice. I choose benq over asus any day because their customer support treated me worse than any I have ever dealt with. When my benq cam with a few dead pixels and some obvious scratches from bad handling in shipping, they didnt run me through a ringer they sent a new one right away
