Who knows how to set up audio to run through both my speakers and headset at the same time in Win10, I'm tired of having to change the default device every time I want to use one or the other...

A good sound card should autodetect when headphones are plugged in and mute your speakers. What kind of soundcard do you have?

I don't have a independent sound card, it's onboard audio.. I suppose I could just unplug the headset when I want to use the speakers. I'm just so damn lazy though..

If it's anything like older windows, I think it should revert to another device once you unplug the headphones if that is the regular default device. It should then switch back to headphones when you plug them back in. You should only use the same audio port though.

I'm guessing this isn't working for you?

No that works, it's just in windows 7 I could set it up so that audio is pushed to both speakers and headphones. That way I could keep them both plugged in and not have to unplug one or the other, just turn on my speakers and use them or turn them off and put my headset on

So it's too much to unplug headphones? Is your PC hard to reach? The front panel should be easy enough to disconnect two pins from.

I'm guessing your headset is two pin and that is more work. I like to use a separate mic so I am free to use whatever headphones I like. I can then plug them into the most easily accessible port or directly into my speakers if I wanted.

Logitech make some very nice mics which are cheap, sub 20 dollars anyway. And they have good quality, they are conference call mics.

Actually the imperial system was dictated by the British Empire, you know, those guys you went to war with to get your freedom? So they're about as much freedom as gitmo is.
