Missing Info (need sticky)

I got the game & am all ready to go, but I dont know what faction to be, nor what server to join.

There needs to be a sticky thread full of that & any other important info needed for a new person getting up to speed.

wow... my frames are fucked. From 6fps in action to about 25fps in peaceful areas... completely unplayable... is there somethig I'm missing?

 

Hm, try lowering your Render quality % a bit. I find lowering mine just 10%'ish makes a big difference.

 

Unless you have a beast of a GPU, you gotta tweak the settings with no shadows and low rendering.

 

That is strange Linch, I run everything maxed except shadows at 1080p on GTX480 1.5GB Video RAM, 8GB 1600Mhz System RAM and i-7 2600k pushed to 4.4Ghz. Even while recording I get great framerates, never below 30 and on average around 45.

You put it on your SSD right? Maybe try updating your GPU driver? You should be able to get what I get or better without a problem.

I run it as Phragg does, I get lower FPS in battle as well but its not unplayable like it was a few days ago. make sure fog shadows are off, that shit is so broken.

 

Running a 580GTX setup here with an i7 Sandy 2300, on max everything but shadows on low, ambient off, and I'm getting steady frames. Not high frames. Not as high as I'd like them and am used to in BF3 or Warfighter, but steady.

 

Yeah that was the other one, fog shadows. Sounds great in theory. In practice, it am broked.

 

I got an i7 sandy 2700 with 8gig ram & a 570GTX... no reasont to run like ass... i dont get it...
