NNG Design and Projects Team. Takers?

We've been dipping our hands into a lot of different design projects lately, but the biggest one that comes to mind is the NNG tee shirts. Others could be donation drives or specific community events. I notice that we have a lot of hands in the jar and things can become very back and forthy. Can we make this more efficient?

I was thinking we could have a design/project team of 6 or 7 guys, 8 at most that develop all our new graphics, pitch new events, make decisions on tee shirts, branding stuff, projects as well. These guys are the final say and will most likely develop / plan a lot of the stuff.

Some of you are doing this stuff already and have been for some time so to make it official would be neat

What I want to avoid though is preventing creativity from the rest of the community. Does this idea make sense?

Events and branding? Sounds like fun!

 

woah... hold up... 6-8 people? Ghost, that's a LOT of hands in the pot. We need to slim that down to 4 people working on graphics, and maybe 2 people that are over-seeing (Maybe the two people who own it all...). Once more than 4 people start designing shit, that's when it hits the fan, people get pissy and feelings get hurt. We need a core, and a leader to that core. I am willing to step up as needed, as I have a degree in Graphic Design. However, I wouldn't mind if someone else wanted to head it with me. Anyone want to give it a go?

 

Right now we have the entire community with their hands in the pot. Which really isn't a bad thing from an involvement perspective. Where things get rough though is when we want to get something done quickly. A small team of 8 people (at most) will allow us to move much faster. I'm not saying 8 guys are going to design a logo or a piece of artwork or something. One or two will design something and hash it out and the rest of the people involved will agree to go with it or not.

I don't want any layers in this. I want 8 people (again at most) to be a flat team that works this stuff. Doomforge may design a logo one month and get buy in from the rest of the group. The next month Sergeant may orchestrate a specific gaming event or donation drive and the other guys will help him facilitate that.

 

I don't know much coding or design but I do think I could be helpful with events and ideas.

 

I still talk to a ton of the guys from Gamepocalypse so I can reach out to them if we want to try an event like that
