As title, I'm pretty much going to state what we are self-sufficient in and what will need some work on, perhaps. I'll need to see how the cows turn out later since that's sorta a big deal. I may get more depending.

Trade routes is something that we do to make moneh. Get mats, make a trade pack and carry it from point A to point B for money.
But hold on, before you start throwing eggs at the screen in an attempt to make money, there's some things to know.

Trade prices vary based on distance, and demand. The farther you go, the more money you make. The more in demand, the more money you make.
Crafters also get 20% of the pack's worth, while delivery is 80%. ECONOMICS!

For example; Solz to Gwen makes you at maximum 5g. Usually it'll be between 2-5g depending on demand. However, solz or Lilyut to Sandeep makes you 10 per pack at optimal. And often it is optimal. In reverse is similar.
The more packs you get to bring along, the better. More money.

So now that the basics are out of the way, let's talk about us.

(Note: I know mainly the husbandry. Other people need to chip in about what we're producing)

The mats being produced from animal husbandry: Milk, every ten hours (Don't know amount). Needs 2 combined feed
Eggs, approx 30 every hour. Needs about 12ish grain per hour.
Turkeys, every 5 hours. I've placed 3 but will go up to approx 5 ish. Will give a ton of meat every 5 hours. (47 per 10 meat. I usually get about 40 when I harvest absolutely everything)
I have a small supply of duck and goose feathers coming in as well. Goose feathers are mainly for the donkey quest but that's a trade pack in larger intervals.

In short, we are able to make one egg trade pack every hour. Milk will be whenever as I find out when I milk the cows when I get home.

This means that what I'm cultivating assists in making tradepacks in hellswamp, Liliyut, and solz.
Now, let's talk about our server and what we run.

Solz is the go-to for a lot of people. It's straightforward to run, after all. And faster than Lilyut. But this also means that the packs are worth less overall.

I've been checking and it seems Lilyut is way more expensive usually in our dropoff points. And that makes sense since Liliyut is in the middle of the place. Ditto on Gwen.

So from starting points, if you want to make the 10g runs, Liliyut is one of the best choices. And that's Milk or Olives.

Technically, we should stockpile Liliyut tradepacks closer to shore if we can, but there's land issues. Always. If we could, I would even go to the point of grabbing a house near one of the beaches in solz, and just have someone run liliyut packs over to a house and place for later running. More just time saving but hey whatever.

But this is just one aspect of it, for money. We'll definitely want to run for gilda stars.
And getting a galleon is just the beginning. :)

I was actually looking for that. But that also brought up something interesting.

I'll have to cross check when I get on again, but I'm thinking that cinderstone may be a really interesting option, for a very specific purpose.

And less risky than sandeep, potentially. Depends on airship timings, and how pirating is around Cinderstone. Gwen -> Cinderstone anyone? :D

Olives will be a roadblock to cooking oil, as their growth time is really long, and you don't get a lot of them per harvest.

It's what I thought, same for milk. Milk is a 10h harvest, after all. Liliyut isn't going to be easy to do trade runs for often. At least without buying mats from other people.

EDIT: It's also about opportunity cost as well as how many people are running it.

The thing is, Solzreed specialties are easy. Especially braised meat. From our chickens alone we almost have enough to do another massive trade run.

And from what I see, people rarely run Gwen because that is entirely airship dependant. Or you have to have a cart.

If you want to do a run that hits zero pvp, Gwen to two crowns actually is 8g per pack at 130%. It's damned inconvenient though, and that one probably would be more suited to actually have a merchant ship: Airship the goods into Solz, merchant boat over to two-crowns and start dumping into there. It's more like having a train of goods continually going though.

That or we start camping a trader. Yarhar the reds me mateys

We also may want to consider trading in for guilda stars, get that galleon faster.
