So I've been getting back into writing music again! I've got all my studio gear situated, all my drivers functioning properly, and Cubase seems to be behaving. I spent about 8 hours putting this one together today.

It need some proper mixing and mastering but you get the gist of the idea. I would say my primary influences are Porcupine Tree, Steven Wilson and Pink Floyd.

    I appreciate any feedback.

And for mastering purposes, please tell me how it sounds on your speakers. I need a ton of feedback there since mastering something that sounds good on almost every system is very important.

    Thanks yawl!!! /smiles

ps: For those of you who are big into Dubstep, you may want to avoid this one. ;)

Dub fan here. Enjoyed the shit out of this one. Am I the only one that thought of Joe Satriani when listening to this? Will give a better critique when I get home in a couple hours on proper speakers.

Thanks Pragg, I'll take a comparison like that any day! I think your hearing it in the guitar tone though. I'm definitely not a fast player like him..

Yeah Virus its a slow builder. Could use some lyrics. Going to work on re mixing tomorrow.

    Thanks guys!

Does have a few fast spots but this is what I was thinking of while listening. Good job nonetheless.

    very nice :)

Listened to it with the headset I game with, and I didnt hear any mixing issues.

I use Cubase as well, with toontrack's drumkit from hell & Amplitude 3 for my guitar tone. But *I* have mixing issues. I've only learned enough of Cubase to get exactly what I need to get by, and nothing more. You seem to have a much firmer grasp them I. The song was very full sounding.
