I don't think anyone did it. We were clubbing.

 

I would have preferred if it was today as I unlocked the second bf109 with cannons last night. But it was 3am then so I wanted to sleep.

 

The E1 is not that bad because you get 50cal x 4 and lots of ammo along with it and in HB ammo matters.
In terms of performance, it's harder to fly 109s vs Spitfires. The most common mistake that 109 pilots make is that they commit to the the turn fight too much as oppose to doing YoYos.
I figured that I'd pitch this idea to everyone since this fight is very balanced in my opinion.
BUT clubbing works!

 

Very little interest in it actually, I few it solo a few times, it was OK. They had the Brits outnumber the Germans 15 to 10.
I logged around 8:30ish... Everyone preferred arcade, the historicals are just too slow with no reward if you don't do well

 

But I prefer having the option to cripple with a cannon burst. I would of liked to try. I tried a hb the day before with my first bf109 against spitfires but the spitfires bunched together and the team didn't work enough and I got tailed right after I attacked and got tail damage. Wouldn't mind trying it with NNG.
What do you mean by yoyo-ing? Pitch up and down like a sine wave?

 

Oh well. HB will grow on you, no need to force it.
The reason why Germans are outnumbered is because they also get bombers which need to be shot down. If you don't kill the bombers, they will destroy your airfield and Brits will lose.

Sometimes players hide between the bombers which is a pussy tactic some may say, but while they're being chickenshits, they're also providing those bombers with cover while being covered by the bombers tailgunners.


I really enjoy this event in FRB as Brits. I always try to engage the enemies by the shore while Ferryman gets in his Hurricane with rockets and kills a few bombers.

 

The hurricane can get rockets? I'm only level 4 brits so I have 2 hurricanes and a spitfire but I thought hurricane only had a lot of guns

Edit: I only really tried low level HB months ago with NNG players, although they usually played americans vs russians. Chaika is too OP in low level HB so good players try to avoid doing it.

And I am trying to stick to germans. I like the challenge. Russians can be too easy. Brits are good too but I will probably level up my germans and switch back to them. I don't really care for the other two nations, I didn't like their low level planes and don't want to invest the time when I need to level up other nations I like.

 

Germans start kicking ass after lvl6, by the time you're 9, you gonna have 5 BF109s in your line up. Do-217s are OP as fuck too, so are the ME410s. Its always nice to have 1 or 2 heavy fighters in your line up.
Brits are great too. Beaufighters are crazy OP and Spitfires are..... Spitifres. In AB they can do anything at any speed. They're made out of paper tho.
US gets really good once you get your first Aircobra at T7 and than they only get better as you level up.
Japs are Japs. Amazing turners but their guns sound like toyguns. The need to give more planes to the Japs for mid tiers. KI65 are made for BnZ but they don't have shit for firepower.

 

i like turning so I don't really use heavy fighters but I might try out a few. Its just that most I have have turrets more than guns so I can't do too much myself.
I found beaufighters aren't too hard if you can get an engine or shoot out the pilot head on.
Most times I've jousted one I had better aim.
I hate havoc though. Take a huge beating and had my pilot shot out so many times in a joust

 

forgot to add. For some reason I love taking out british planes as a german one.
I found the low level americans a bit easier to shot out pilot.
And big japanese planes take more of a beating than I expected which is annoying when they can break away and out turn you
