I also absolutely LOVE our "separation" of church and state. You know the one where our government isn't run by religion? OH WAIIIIT!!!!! it is. Because conservatives, (and liberals, but to a lesser degree) don't know how to NOT FUCKING VOTE ON SHIT THAT DISAGREES WITH A GOD DAMN BOOK, written by man over 3500 years ago, because EWW GAYS ARE ICKY. not only is this insulting to religion (of which I'm not apart of; I'm Agnostic) but it is insulting to the Constitution. We have the right to religion. If my religion includes a spaghetti monster coming to eat everyone I don't want some fat fuck in congress saying "Well the bible says that's not real".

^^Why I HATE politics. We declare we are of free states, yet we aren't because we keep electing complete FUCKING MORONS into office. It's like for every intelligent person voting, there are 5 dipfucks voting for some schmuck. #FixTheStupid

I consider myself more of an atheist but I agree with what you're saying. The tough part though, is that a lot of the US constitution was written with religion in mind. Well, not in mind, but on the foundations and principles of religion. And for a long time, it worked. I'm not religious at all, but it offends me that we're removing the pledge of allegiance from schools because it contains the word God.

America has just lost its way.

I would propose three things that I think could start a snowball effect to change this country dramatically and put us back on the right track.

1: Term limits. Senators and Congressmen and women could only hold their seats for 2-3 years max. Career politics must end.
2: Legalize and regulate marijuana. The US government could be out of debt in 5 years if they allowed it to be sold legally. The revenue would be threw the roof. It should also removed those jailed for minor offenses related to possession of the drug. Free up more prisons and ease the taxpayer wallet.
3: Get corporations the fuck out of government. They're all in each other's pockets and it's sickening. If you told the commissioner of the FDA that you'd give him a million bucks, but that he'd have to turn a blind eye to a new organically modified food that will definitely kill hundreds of people. He'd take it. Corp and Gov don't mix. When they do, we're where we are now.

Oh and lastly, get rid of this fucking Obama moron. Those who voted him in are part of the problem.

the whole government and corporation is a product of our own humanity. many people are corrupt mainly because they use the government to better themselves not others. The gov could do a fantastic job of doing things if the damn bureaucracy and red tape wasn't overwhelming.
And i'm catholic and i believe in the whole separation of church and state, but again the problem is that many of the senators and congressmen come from states that are super protestant so they have to reflect those wishes of the people and overdo every thing for their electorate

See I have no issue with Obama. And a lot of people blame him for the state of the country. Now, I'm not saying you are,(because you understand the government) but I'm just saying... that the people who say things like this, without understanding the government, are fucking morons.

People who think the Debt is Obama's problem, don't seem to realize that we just ran TWO FUCKING WARS on a fuckin' credit card. One of which was totally uncalled for. Not that ANYONE in the world misses Saddam Hussein, but seriously, we did not need to invade Iraq. Our only legitimate excuse was that they were in a volatile situation and "had WMDs". Now I don't believe this load of Presidential BULL. SHIT. for a second. The Iraq War was nothing more than Baby Bush finishing the Job his Father failed to do.

Also I love how Obama gets ridiculed with "YOU NEVER FUCKING DO ANYTHING" while this is true to a certain degree, he has done more to help this country than GWB did, and lets be honest here, When he took office, Obama was, basically, handed a bag of shit and told to have fun. And the whole Bi-partisan system we have in effect IS FUCKING STUPID AS FUCK. He hasn't been able to do ANYTHING because all the Retards-- sorry, Repubs (typo), have been cockblocking him 80% of the way, and voting against EVERYTHING he has tried to do. Thanks Repub House Majority!! Fuck You.

While I checked the box OBAMA on my ballot it wasn't because I wanted to vote FOR Obama. but I wanted to Vote AGAINST Romney. And I figured hey, Maybe now that there is NO way he can get re-elected we will see more progress. But congress was being equally as fucking stupid, and now all these NSA shitcans are spilling out and I love how people are still blaming Obama for this. I can almost GUARENTEE about 80-90% of these laws were established under the Bush Presidency.

TD;LR, Obama was the Lesser of Two evils in the last election, had a higher chance to get shit done this term than last, and Its not all entirely his fault there hasn't been much progress.

The lesser of two evils is still... you guessed it, evil.

Obama = Bush = Clinton = Bush, and so on, right down the line since about the 30's. The one Shining light we had was JFK, and while he himself was far from perfect, he was enough of a threat to eliminate. These days, you dont even get on the ballot unless you're willing to do the bidding of the real power in this country. Everything Phaedo said above about the red vrs blue shit is nothing more then a soap opera designed to distract from the REAL issues. For over a decade now we have been trading freedom for 'safety'. And while as of yet we have not seen much noticeable differences in our day to day lives, all the pieces are being fit into place. And once the global elite that stands in the shadow and directs the soap opera puts the last piece into place, we will wake one day to find that the freedom is gone, and odds are even open revolt will be too little too late.

Obama is a moron and a liar. He's lied on countless key issues to Americans because he thinks we're morons. Obamacare lies. Benghazi lies. Debt ceiling lies. His refusal to negotiate with republicans. His horrible and moronic handling of the Syria situation which ended up making Putin look like a god send. I do understand that all presidents have bad, but Obama is a total fucking queefer bro. He's a slick talker and a nice suit and that's what sold people on voting for him. Bush had more of a heart than Obama and didn't trample all over our constitution. Clinton was a sex fiend and also lied to the public but his efforts in the economic sector did fantastic things for our bottom line and our debt. Reagan was another great president. There are really good presidents who come along no matter what sort of corporate ties are strangling our political system. No matter the money, the bribery, the wars, the controversy. Obama is not one of them. He's a loser.

Surely you don't think our country would be in the same situation if someone like Paul or Christie were voted into office?

going a bit off topic, but this is hands down the best thing I've ever seen on JFK's death... and it all points to Bush. I watched it on NetFlix, not youtube, and on YT it's broken into parts, but in the full movie, about halfway through is where they start dropping the real bombs that point to Bush. The first half is interesting as well, but is really just laying the ground work that sets up the second half.
